What is an Addition Sentence?
Addition is about putting numbers together to make a bigger number!
An addition sentence has numbers with a plus (+) sign and an equals (=) sign. Sometimes part of the sentence is missing, and we need to figure out what number goes there.
How to Complete an Addition Sentence
1️⃣ Look at the numbers you already have
2️⃣ Count the total (the number after the = sign)
3️⃣ Find the missing number that makes the sentence true

Parent Tips 🌟
- Use real objects: Have your child practice with small toys, buttons, or snacks to make addition tangible and fun.
- Make it a game: Create simple addition stories ("If you have 2 teddy bears and get 3 more, how many will you have?") to engage their imagination.
- Celebrate small wins: Praise effort as much as correct answers to build confidence in math skills.
